Great views: right on the bay, with views of many boats, coming and going all day. Located about 1/2 mile from town. Sites are pretty level and not too close to neighbor. There are sites with and without hook-ups. Huge campground with a great location to town and the boat harbor. Fire-pits and benches are available right next to sites and a sidewalk to town. Rest rooms are old and about what one would expect for a city campground. Quite useable though.
Handy, East of Tok, and Wi-Fi is available in the office. Office has a restaurant and gas station. Sites are reasonably level. Good place to spend the night.
Excellent forest service campground. Roads and pads are great. No hook-ups, but great views and very clean. Good hosts. On the way to Portage Glacier, not really in Whittier. Many large sites. No playgrounds---just a campground in the forest near glaciers and streams! Rate is with Golden Age Passport.
Nothing special. Only 2-3 pull thru's. Not level. Old city park, that is basically run-down and in an old part of town. OK for a night or so. Not worth the price, but not much else worthwhile in Anchorage.
Dry camping. Sites are on a bluff overlooking the bay about a mile from the ferry terminal. Great views day and night! Cruise ships and ferries are visible from most sights. Water is available near the office. Very friendly and helpful owner! Fishing is permitted on the bay across the road from the campground.
